Practical Test Planning

The second course in QBIT's series focusing on real-world testing techniques provides the high level planning, estimating, scheduling, monitoring and control skills used daily by senior testers.

The course is ideal for testers wishing to develop their career and aspiring to leadership. It focuses on, teaches, develops and requires delegates to perform practical tasks typical of the work of the Test Team Leader.

Documents produced by the delegate during the course are examined afterwards by a board of assessors. Upon successful completion a Certificate of Competence is awarded. Merit and Distinction grades are awarded for excellent performance.
Objectives
- improve your understanding of the Plan and Schedule stages of the Generic Test Process through practical experience of carrying out all the tasks involved
- extend your knowledge and abilities as a professional software tester to include planning, estimating, scheduling and monitoring
- gain a qualification which signifies that you have moved beyond analysing and executing software testing and are ready to take responsibility for controlling a testing project

testers with good experience and/or sound theoretical knowledge of test planning and scheduling.
